“World Heritage City Lab: Management of UNESCO World Heritage Cities”

to be held on 13-14 December 2021 via Zoom Platform.

The event will bring attention to the strategic multi-stakeholder management of historic cities. By adopting the context of the “Historic Centre of Saint Petersburg and Related Groups of Monuments” as background, the event will discuss the need for transversality and inter-sectoral cooperation in urban heritage management.

“World Heritage City Lab: Historic Cities, Climate Change, Water, and Energy”

to be held on 16-17 December 2021 via Zoom Platform.

The event will focus on the contribution of historic cities and settlements in coastal areas to climate action, particularly through design and strategic planning. The event will host a series of international lectures discussing regional contexts and specific case studies in detail. In addition, discussions will make use of interactive tools to engage with the audience and facilitate exchanges with practitioners and experts.

Students of urban and territorial planning, architecture and design, and heritage conservation are especially invited to join the sessions and discuss approaches and solutions integrating traditional know-how and culture-nature links with contemporary needs in historical cities. Join us!
