On 25th and 26th of September 2023 the network of European Centers of Excellence in shallow geothermal energy organized a high scientific level course for Master’s level students, postgraduate and PhD students.

The course took place in a hybrid format (online and face-to-face) in all the headquarters of the 4 organizations members of ECoE network: ECOE – West Europe: Spain- Valencia, ECOE – Southern Europe: Italy – Padova, ECOE – Central Europe: Germany Erlangen and ECOE – Eastern Europe: Romania – Oradea.

The participation was based on the submission of the registration form.

The teaching activity was provided by prestigious scientists, researchers, university professors, people who have left their mark on the scientific level of all the existing applications in Europe at the present time.

The course consisted of 4 modules of 2 h 30′ (2 each day).

Over 60 participants, specialists in shallow geothermal domain in all the 4 modules obtained a Diploma of Attendance and the possibility to access the entire documentation taught during the two days of the course (in electronic format: https://geo4civhic.eu/training-tools-package): a comprehensive training Manual consisting in 7 volumes, each focus on different aspects of shallow geothermal technology, 2 user manuals for the use of a decision assisting software and respectively for guiding the drillers on situ and 2 brochures, a technical one and another dedicated to the applications for civil and historical buildings. This complete training Tools Package can be consulted in 7 different languages: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Greek and Romanian.

The graduates of the course entered in the ECoE ALUMNI group and in the communication group of the ECoE network and will be permanently informed about all the news in the shallow geothermal field and will have the possibility to contact the ECoE specialists directly.
